Rice Business Plan Competition Info Session – led by Pitt’s Dr. Chris Wilmer

Are you interested in applying to the Rice Business Plan Competition? Attend Dr. Chris Wilmer’s RBPC Info Session on Dec. 4 (12 PM) at the BIC!

The application deadline for the Rice Business Plan Competition, the largest and richest student startup competition, is January 31 (11:59 PM CST)! If you want to learn more about the RBPC and are thinking about applying, Pitt’s Dr. Chris Wilmer will be leading an info session on December 4 from 12-1 PM at the Big Idea Center (3601 Forbes Ave).

For those of you that don’t know, this is an extremely exciting and elite pitch competition that has, without exaggeration, MILLIONS of dollars in prizes, and exposure to the world’s top investment firms. Since 2016, the University of Pittsburgh has had a student successfully entered into the competition every year, and each year we keep doing better and better! In 2021, Pitt placed 7th with Kunal Gandhi and his startup APEX Health. 2022 was our best year yet when Pitt student startup team Hoth Intelligence, led by Jonathan Cohen, placed 2nd and won $100K!

We are super excited to support students interested in going to this competition and will help you (if you want help!) every step of the way. Even if you’re not sure about applying this year, but you think you might want to do it in future years, definitely come to Chris’s info session on Dec. 4 to learn more about what it’s all about.
