2021 Randall Family Big Idea Competition

The 2021 Randall Family Big Idea Competition was completed virtually throughout the months of February through April. Teams joined Big Idea Center staff for Bootcamp on February 26. From there, they presented live, over Zoom, as part of Practice Pitch sessions and the Semi-Final Round. The competition pool was narrowed down to 23 finalist teams who presented as part of the Final Round on April 9, 2021.

ReSolution’s Big Idea: An automatic, self-cleaning, portable contact case that seeks to eliminate common causes of irritation and infection for contact users.


Second Place ($15,000 each):

ZMAC: Zachary Colimon, Ariel Holstein, Michael Akinsola, Justin Cacal

ZMAC’s Big Idea: The ZMAC mouse that takes all the common functionality of your favorite programs and puts them on the side of a computer mouse. Just like your desired functionality, these keys are dynamic — they change based on the program you’re using.

 

HealthENose: Brian Day, Becca Segel

HealthENose’s Big Idea: A breath-based disease detection platform designed for fast, cheap, easy, and most importantly, early detection of a variety of diseases.
