
Ryan Skelton
Student Programs & Operations Administrator
Ryan Skelton is the Student Programs & Operations Administrator and the first point of contact for many students looking to get involved in Big Idea Center events and programs. He supports the execution of programs and implements procedures, processes, services, and systems to maintain program workflow while striving to make a warm, welcoming place for all students and visitors. Ryan is also responsible for assisting with facility maintenance and daily operations at the Big Idea Center.
Ryan’s academic background is heavily focused on linguistics, education, and communication. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in Japanese from the University of Pittsburgh and his master of arts in TESOL from Slippery Rock University. He also completed a five-year tenure as an assistant language teacher on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. He loves hearing about student’s passions and experiences, and dedicates himself to making them feel understood, supported, and appreciated. His special interests include weightlifting, gaming, and outdoor activities such as disc golf and kayaking.
